Brian Pappas

Monday Group Classes, Private Lessons

Brian caught the acting bug in high school and continued in theater for a decade after that, eventually focusing on voice acting. He took to character work like a duck to water. Doing impressions of cartoon characters, his teachers and celebrities, he quickly improved and developed an immense passion for character acting. In Brian’s words, “There's nothing quite like diving into a character's psyche and being able to perform as a completely different person that you've spent so much time with.” Brian is now pursuing an active voice over career in commercial and character work represented by the Campbell Agency in Dallas. He is here to share his experience with aspiring voice actors during Monday night group classes.

Erin Barry

Private Lessons

By fate or by accident, Erin happened into an acting class when all other electives in High School were full. From a young age, she loved to make people laugh and it was in those beginning acting lessons that she found her passion extended beyond comedy. Since then, Erin has performed in hundreds of plays, musicals and vocal concerts in the San Francisco Bay Area; Having the opportunity to perform in the Sacramento Festival of the Arts and taking home an award for her performance as Death in Woody Allen’s Death Knocks. Rekindling her love of acting after a brief hiatus to build a family and a career in product development, Erin began looking for opportunities to get back to her original love of entertaining and ultimately finding that in voice over acting. Sharing her joy as a Voices Carey instructor, Erin brings a fun, down to earth atmosphere to Thursday night group classes.

Tamás (Tom) Rieser

Saturday Group Classes, Private Lessons

Ever since his first play in Middle School, Tamas was hooked on acting. Already a talented singer, he moved to Classical Vocal Training at the Rezel Voice Studio and fell in love with using his voice to entertain people. He’s been with Voices Carey since 2018, transferring that great energy to voice acting and has loved every second of it. Some of his most recent credits include Another World Audiobook's production of A Christmas Carol and voice work for the upcoming Short Horror Film Dependence Written by Kaitlyn B. Stanford. While actively pursuing his voice over career track, Tamas inspires a high level of enthusiasm in his Saturday group class.

Henry Schrader

Thursday Group Classes, Private Lessons

When Henry found out in middle school that voice acting was a real job that people could do, he knew that's the career he wanted. Years later, after doing dozens of audiobooks before going through the Voices Carey program himself, he can definitely say he's achieving that goal. Henry has representation all over the country and has been in anime and videogames including: One Piece, Blue Lock, and Genshin Impact. He enjoyed the Voices Carey program so much that he wanted to be a part of it himself, and now uses his laid-back demeanor and experience to teach the group class on Thursdays as well as private lessons throughout the week.

Michelle Goltzman

Private Lessons

Michelle started acting at the age of eight. After spending her childhood acting in her hometown community theatres, Michelle continued performance through college and received a BFA in theatre/television from TCU. She spent many years working as an actor, director and producer, living in Chicago and New York City. It's hard to say how many plays Michelle has been in or directed, but the number is easily near a hundred. Growing up with a teacher as a mother, seeing how hard she worked, Michelle never thought she would teach. Then one day, she signed up for an acting class with Bob Krakower, beloved teacher, casting director, acting coach and theatre director. The class changed Michelle's life. She had such fun and so loved the way he taught that she decided maybe she wanted to teach after all. Deciding she wanted to be closer to her family in Texas, she moved back and began teaching. Michelle quickly learned how different teaching actors is compared to teaching kids in school! As it turned out, she found she was really good with kids, especially getting great performances from them. Michelle has been teaching theatre now for 13 years. She continues to act, with her latest ventures taking her to Pocket Sandwich Theatre and Richardson Theatre Center. She is also a member of American Immersion Theatre, a murder mystery company, which gives her the opportunity to play lots of fun characters! Michelle loves teaching voice acting for Voices Carey and loves helping others develop their talent, especially kids.

After six years wandering the corporate wilderness, Rachael found her way back to the creative world, where life is normal, and caught the voice acting bug. She now uses her experience as a performer and director to help her students prepare for their goals and aspirations. She hopes she never has to build a thirty-foot pirate ship for a play ever again. With her education and experience in both creative and business settings, Rachael can help bridge the gap between cultivating yourself as a voice actor and a brand. Now, as the Voices Carey staff writer, with her education and experience in both creative and business settings, Rachael can help bridge the gap between cultivating yourself as a voice actor and a brand when she writes the scripts for your demo reel!
